Skate Winnipeg skaters compete at Barrie Octoberfest

Congratulations to all the Skate Winnipeg skaters competing at Barrie Skating Club’s Octoberfest. Octoberfest is one of the largest competitions held in Central Ontario Section. Each year it attracts hundreds of skaters who are polishing up their programs as it is often the last stop prior to Sectionals, which is the first step in the process for qualifying for the Canadian Championships.

Danae Russell placed 7th in Novice Ladies flight 3

Huge congratulations to Skate Winnipeg’s Deidre Russell seen above after her long program at Barrie’s Octoberfest competition. Deidre received a personal best combined points of 127.73, earning her a bronze medal in the senior women category.
